Really amazing all the wildlife out there. I was wondering about those salt blocks. I didn’t think they would use them with the high mineral content of that area. Guess I’m wrong.
Everything loves salt. Minerals are dangerous: Blocks that encourage deer antler growth contain copper and other compounds which are lethal to bighorn. As a general rule, adding water is the best practice for all wildlife. Make sure small animals and birds can get in and out otherwise drinkers can be a death trap.
