Reducing Wildfire Fuels at Scale Cost Effectively
The Plan, called the Natural Wildfire Abatement & Forest Protection Plan, is not based upon theoretical assumptions. Instead it comes from the empirical experience and research with the behavioral ecology of wild horses and wildfire, by researchers (Gough & Simpson) who have lived continuously among and study the herd of 150 free-roaming cultural heritage wild horses in a wilderness area for over a decade.
This lecture had an online attendance of 60 people and lecture hall attendance of 30 people. It was attended by scientists, BLM personnel, USGS personnel, as well as faculty and students at CALSTATE Sacramento.
