Wild Horses Can Help Prevent Forest Fires

Wild Horses Can Help Prevent Forest Fires

Rangeland and forest decline - including increased wildfire - are generally blamed on ‘climate change’ and 'over grazing'. In fact, the main culprit is too few wild and domestic animals, whose ‘animal impact' (grazing, brush and weed trampling, dung and urine fertilization) is essential to plant and soil health.

Healing our forests and rangelands can’t happen unless we greatly increase this animal impact. As explained below, wild horses - a Native American species - can be a cheap tool to reduce wildfire, increase wildlife, improve range conditions, and in the process preserve an important component of our precious Western Culture by preserving and restoring the American Wild Mustang.
